Summer Scholarship Program Requirements
For weeks 1-5, each event will start with a live Zoom meeting where TS-SM staff will go over that week’s activity and provided one-on-one advising on that task. A recording of the Zoom meeting will be available on the program website, and students can submit the completed activity up to one week later. We encourage students to participate in the live Zoom meetings, but we also support our students' involvement in other activities over the summer (jobs, family responsibilities, other summer camps, etc.).
Week 6 will include a two-day virtual conference, which we want the students to participate in the day. Parents are also welcome to attend the conference!
Students are eligible for the TS-SM Stipend by:
- Participating in four out of the six weeks of the virtual program, which is done by submitting the corresponding completed activities.
- Submitting the Personal Statement to be reviewed by a Stipend Committee.
- Attend the Summer Scholarship Virtual Conference.
- Meet with TS-SM staff member for one-on-one, August follow-up meeting about lessons learned from the program.
